Debian Release Manager (luk@debian.org)
Squeeze TODO for the Debian Project:
- Debian Installer
- d-i should have some kind of exception handling so it's less
fragile (degrade instead of break)
- source compliance (extra suite?)
- proper udeb dependency handling
- EFI on i386/amd64 (efi-reader)
- support WPA network
- Testing Migration
- britney should have proper udeb support
- automatic easy hinting
- build dependencies
- faster (edos-debcheck)?
- no ftp-archive and no breakage from dinstall interrupts
- Buildd/Wanna-build
- full buildd (for all suites and all architectures) and buildd
maintainer redundancy
- architecture qualification taken seriously from the start
- get rid of the architecture lists in all files, make it a
central configuration
- proper integration of buildd.d.o, wanna-build
- sbuild/buildd/wanna-build: integrate packaged version and
version used on the buildds/wanna-build
- clean out P-a-s
- order P-a-s entries on issue which causes them to be
listed
- integrate ~luk/status (update release/migration/testing.pl
accordingly)
- Missing In Action
- an overview of vacations (preferably integrated with MIA
tools)
- more automatic (reminders)
- Quality Assurance
- extensive and regular piuparts and build tests
- UDD integration in QA tools
- removal of obsolete libraries/packages
- Extended cooperation
- easy interfaces between Debian and almost Debian infrastructure
(unofficial buildd network, backports, debian-ports.org etc)
- better interaction/integration of SRM, volatile, backports,
debian-ports.org
